South Africa: Kruger Park & Private Reserves Map
This Map shows the southern Kruger region and its surrounding Parks and Reserves and is most accessible region of the national park. This is where most first time visitors to the park start exploring. The southern Kruger is sometimes referred to as the circus, because of the profusion of people and animals. For those looking for a more relaxed Kruger safari, try the less travelled Northern Kruger Region which has a completely different landscape offering a variety of different wildlife then those on offer in the Southern Kruger Region. The Southern region of Kruger has the highest rainfall, and therefore the densest vegetation, which can sometimes make game viewing more difficult. However, this is the best part of the park to see both black and white rhino, and elephant and lions are also common. The H4 between Lower Sabi and Skukuza is recognised as one of the best places to see game, and has been aptly nicknamed Lion Drive. |
